They do this by posting fake negative reviews and then pressuring businesses to pay for a membership to respond to these reviews. TrustPilot.com even employs staff members their job is to search for businesses and websites to give them these fake negative reviews.
Once a business or website owner sees these fake negative reviews, TrustPilot.com demands that they pay for a membership to respond. However, the reviews are already fake and were posted by TrustPilot.com employees.
This means TrustPilot.com is essentially bullying businesses and websites into paying for memberships by bombarding them with fake negative reviews.
