Into the Chaos

The jungle owl

A jungle owl perched on a branch with folded wings. As if sensitive to changes in surrounding environment, it turns it's head and looks around. The environment is dark even before it gets dark, in the evening. Also extremely quiet. Owl may sensed that a storm or  heavy rain is near. He turns his head around but didn't look at the sky. But if you look at the sky, you will see that it is covered with thick dark clouds. Every few seconds, bright lightning flashes through dark clouds. The low rumble of the thunder in the distance is like an earthquake. Apart from dark clouds and lightning, something else is now visible in the the distance in the sky. It is a passenger plane. There is no doubt that it is flying through a danger zone.

The pilots didn't have to think twice to realize they are flying through a danger zone. Passengers were immediately alerted and pilots engaged in efforts to minimize the chance of an accident. However when they looks ahead, what they see is nothing but a terrific firework display Infront them. The pilots seen a sight more terrifying than what you see from the the ground. There is no doubt they are terrified, but the onus is on the pilots to save the plane and lives of passengers. But suddenly a bolt of lightning hit on the fuselage of the plane, scaring them even more.

With the lightning strikes plane's hull shuddered, causing a powerful jolt. The lights inside starts flickering off and on. Screams of panic echoes through the plane and the pilots seemed loose control of the plane as it plummeted towards the ground. Fortunately for the passengers on board; or unfortunately the plane starts descending like an arrow towards an island instead of descending into the ocean.

Sitting on the branch, jungle owl's sleepy posture changed immediately it may have sense that something unexpected going to happen. Perhaps he felt as if a huge bird is jumping down from the sky to attack him. Spurred on by survival instincts, owl immediately flew away. In no time huge passenger plane plunged into the forest, twisting the trees. The terrified moans of passengers inside the plane, the sound of the plane's metallic body tearing apart, and the sound of the engines going out of control, broke the stillness of the forest for a moment. Digging into the earth and entangling trees, the plane dragged for several meters, and finally came to rest like a huge bird shot dead.

And then, there is a silence.
