General Symptoms (Type 1 & Type 2 Diabetes)

Frequent urination (especially at night)

Excessive thirst 
- 
Unusual hunger even after eating

Unexplained weight loss (more common in Type 1)

Extreme fatigue or weakness 
- 
Blurred vision 
- 
Slow-healing wounds or frequent infections 
- 
Tingling, numbness, or pain in hands and feet 
Type 1 Diabetes (often sudden onset)

Rapid weight loss 
- 
Nausea or vomiting 
- 
Fruity-smelling breath (due to ketones) 
- 
Can progress quickly to diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) if untreated 
Type 2 Diabetes (gradual onset)
- 
Symptoms may be mild or unnoticed for years

Darkened skin patches (acanthosis nigricans), often in neck or armpits

Increased risk of recurrent infections (urinary, skin, or gum infections) 
Gestational Diabetes (during pregnancy)
