Anyone with experience on eLeavers, when I create an ad and I'm only using my affiliate link, what do I put for the display URL, do I put my affiliate link for both the display and destination?

Display URL vs Destination URL
-
Destination URL: This is the actual URL where your visitor lands when they click the ad.
-
Use your affiliate link here. This ensures you get credited for any sales or conversions.
-
-
Display URL: This is the URL that shows up in the ad itself. It doesn’t have to be the actual affiliate link.
-
Best practice: Use a clean, readable version of your offer’s domain rather than the full, long affiliate URL.
-
Example:
-
Affiliate link (destination):
https://affiliatenetwork.com/track?id=12345&ref=xyz
-
Display URL:
www.productname.com
orwww.brandname.com
-
-
Why Not Use Your Full Affiliate Link as Display URL
-
Looks Cleaner and Trustworthy – Long affiliate URLs can appear spammy and reduce click-through rates.
-
Higher CTR – Users are more likely to click when they see a recognizable brand or product domain.
-
Compliance with eLeavers Guidelines – Some networks prefer a clear, readable display URL for ads.
Quick Hack for Beginners
-
If the product has its own website, just use that domain as your display URL.
-
Always keep the destination URL as your affiliate link so you earn your commission.
Example
Field | What to Enter |
---|---|
Destination URL | https://affiliatenetwork.com/track?id=12345 |

If your ad is only using an affiliate link, put your affiliate link as the destination URL. For the display URL, it’s better to use the main site’s URL (like the product’s homepage) rather than the full affiliate link. This looks professional and helps increase clicks.
I’ve used this method myself, and it has always been profitable. You get both a trustworthy-looking ad and conversions flowing to your affiliate link without any issues.
